Career Counselor: Provide career counseling to personnel. Conduct retention and reenlistment interviews. Determine personnel eligibility to immediately reenlist or extend; review reenlistment and extension documents for accuracy; coordinate retention ceremonies. Advise commanders on criteria for selection of unit level retention personnel. Maintain liaison with local personnel and finance offices. Advise commanders on all matters relating to attrition management and the Army retention program.

Alpha Company 2/14th Infantry, Fort Drum, New York, 2006 – 2007
Weapons Squad Leader: Weapons squad leader in a light infantry division deployed in support of Operation "Iraqi Freedom"; advised the platoon leader on employment of the javelin missile system and M240B machine guns; maintained accountability and supervises maintenance of individual weapons, organizational clothing, individual equipment, and life support equipment valued in excess of $500,000; responsible for the professional and personal development of nine personnel. Supervised weapons squad through 42 mounted and dismounted patrols resulting in a drastic decrease in enemy activity in company area of operations.

Headquarters/Headquarters Company 17th Aviation Brigade, Republic of Korea, 2004 – 2005
Pathfinder Team Leader: Airborne Pathfinder and Personnel Recovery Security team leader in the only dedicated overwater and overland aviation personnel recovery company in the U.S. Army; responsible for helicopter landing zone reconnaissance, aircraft terminal guidance, external load operations, and personnel recovery team operations; responsible for the health, welfare, training, discipline, of three personnel and unit life support and equipment valued at $300,000. Key player in the integration, organization, and training of the Army’s first Overwater and Overland Personnel unit.

Led squad during four Military Operations in Urban Terrain live fire exercises and was selected to conduct leader training for other 82nd Airborne units in Close Quarter Battle (CQB) techniques for Military Operations in Urban Terrain.

Bravo Company 2/504th, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 1999 – 2000

Air Assault Team Leader: Team Leader in an air assault company in the most forward deployed infantry unit in the Republic of Korea; responsible for the security of Freedom Bridge and the training, discipline, health, and morale of a three person Air Assault team. Responsible for over $50,000 of organic equipment.

Alpha Company 3/504th, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 1999 – 2000
Airborne Infantry Team Leader: Performed duties as a team leader in an airborne infantry company capable of deploying worldwide within 18 hours of notification to fight and win. Responsible for the training, health, welfare, morale, discipline, and living conditions of a three man airborne infantry team. Provided guidance for the professional development of his squad. Maintained the standards of maintenance, serviceability, and accountability of over $50,000 of organic equipment.

Alpha Company 3/504th, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 1995 – 1996
Rifleman/Armorer: Served as a rifleman in an airborne infantry company; duties included firearms training, CBRNE training, self-defense, Close Quarters Battle (CQB), and mounted and dismounted battle drills. Additional duty as company armorer ensured the maintenance and serviceability of over $10 million worth of weapons, night vision and other organic equipment.

588th Maintenance Company, Giessen, Germany, 1990 – 1993
Small Arms Weapons Foreman/Repairman: Responsible for the repair of small arms and towed artillery; ensured weapons were maintained to government standards; ensured weapon gages were calibrated and serviceable. Responsible for shop safety and physical security standards for four personnel; responsible for sensitive weapons parts and material in excess of $3 million. Supported over 5000 personnel as a small arms repairman.
